About Us

Christiana Spine is a surgical practice specializing in complex reconstructive spinal surgery as well minimally invasive and motion preservation surgery for over 20 years. Christiana Spine is conveniently located on the grounds of Christiana Care Health System’s main campus in Newark, Delaware. As the state’s sole tertiary medical facility, CCHS covers close to 3,500 spine cases per year. This immense volume ensures the latest techniques and technologies are made available.

Meet The Team

J. Rush Fisher, M.D.

Dr. Fisher is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Dartmouth College before attending the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he obtained his Medical Degree. He completed his internship in general surgery as well as his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He then completed his fellowship in adult reconstructive spinal surgery at the University Hospitals of Case Western Reserve under the direction of Henry Bohlman, M.D. Dr. Fisher spent three years on faculty at the University of Kentucky before returning to his home state of Delaware where he joined the staff at Christiana Care Health System (CCHS) in 1998. He has been the Chief of the Spine Section at CCHS since its inception in 2007. He attends national and international meetings on spine surgery and is dedicated to comprehensive spinal care and the collaborative effort needed to improve patient outcomes.

Amy Earnest, PA-C

Amy Earnest is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in Orthopedic Spine Surgery. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at University of Pittsburgh. She then went on to earn her Master of Medical Science degree at Salus University, in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and two daughters, as well as her family and friends.

Caitlyn Graff, PA-C

Caitlyn Graff is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in Orthopedic Spine Surgery. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry from Utica College in Utica, New York while playing as a member of the Utica College women’s ice hockey team. She then went on to earn her Master of Medical Science degree at Arcadia University in Christiana, Delaware. She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) as well as the Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants (DAPA), and is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She enjoys spending her spare time with her friends, family, and her husband along with their miniature english bulldog, Margaux.

Meghan Malloy, PA-C

Meghan Malloy is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in Orthopedic Spine Surgery. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. After working as a critical care nurse, she went on to earn her Master of Medical Science degree at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. She is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and sons.
